Endless Doves 1.3

Games where you control a character that needs to endlessly advance through some sort of obstacle course are fairly often. What is not often encountered is games with character, if you get my drift.

In Endless Doves you will have the task of disturbing the main character's beauty sleep session by tapping on the screen once. The problem is that instead of awakening him, you have triggered a flying dream. As conscience commands, you will need to control his pitch in order to avoid the house obstacles that appear along a surreal endless 2D corridor.

Along the way you will encounter dream doves that begin following you if you get close enough to them. The goal is to get them to follow you since this becomes your score at the end of the game, that is when you bump into a wall.

Despite the pixel graphics, or maybe because of them, Endless Doves has a charming appeal. The retro character design, the grayscale colors reminiscent of the old Gameboy screens have an odd appeal to the eye. Or maybe just to this old dog's eyes.

In any case Endless Doves is a free implementation of 8Bit Doves, which is quite similar but organized in levels... and not free.

Conclusion

For a relaxing 5 minute break or for avid achievement hunters, Endless Doves is worth playing at least a few times if not make a permanent residence on your tablet.
